Campaign Contribution & Expense (C&E) Reports

All candidates for statewide, county and local elected office in Nevada are required by law to file Campaign Contributions and Expenses Reports with the proper filing officer (statewide and multi-county candidates file with the Secretary of State; single county and local office candidates file with their respective County Clerk/Registrar of Voters).

Reports filed with the Secretary of State are scanned and made available on the agency's website within 24 hours of receipt. Legislative and judicial candidate reports filed with Clerks/Registrars are later transmitted to the Secretary of State and are also placed on the agency's website with 24 hours of receipt from the Clerk/Registrar.

Several types of reports are required. Contributions and Expenses Reports (C&E Reports), Annual Reports, Financial Disclosure Statements. C&E Reports are filed three times per election cycle during election years: Report #1 is due seven days prior to the Primary Election; Report #2 is due seven days prior to the General Election; and Report #3 is due by mid-January. C&E Reports are also required from elected officials in non-election years. Those reports are referred to as "Annual Reports" and are due in non-election cycle years by mid-January. Financial Disclosure Statements are required to be filed by all elected officials each year by mid-January.

Reports available on the Secretary of State's website are: Ballot Advocacy Groups, Candidates/Incumbents, Political Action Committees, Recall Committees, Independent Expenditures, and Political Parties and Committees Sponsored by Political Parties. To view a specific report, click on the appropriate year and then the appropriate category.

Reports are listed in alphabetical order. Reports include a "Summary" page and "Detail" pages.

If you cannot locate a report for a specific candidate or group, please contact the appropriate filing officer to determine if the report has been received but has not yet been scanned to the website, or if the specific report has not been received to date.

Candidates must file 2 types of reports: C&E Reports and Financial Disclosure Reports.

If a candidate is elected, that person, as a public official is required to file a Financial Disclosure Report with the Secretary of States Office each year by January 15.
